Taxonomic: Notes Epimecis guacamolearia (Matson, 2026): This name was proposed for the species found in Florida and southern Texas previously known as E. detexta (Walker, 1860). "True" detexta is a found only in Jamaica (Matson 2026). Synonymy: guacamolearia Matson, 2026 (Epimecis) - MONA 1983: [NEW] detexta of authors (not Walker, 1860) (Bronchelia) - MONA 1983: 6604 Similar  : Species Pinned specimens of related species.
