Description/ Field Marks: |
"Fore wings fine brown, somewhat golden, shaded with dark brown. Along the costa are three oblique silvery streaks, the one nearest the base of the wing, short, and the others extended to the middle of the wing, each shadded along their margins with dark brown. On the inner margin are three silvery dorsal spots, placed opposite the spaces between the costal streaks. Near the tip of the wing is a transverse, narrow, curved silvery line, passing from the costa to the inner angle. At the base of the cilia are two black converging lines, witch do not meet opposite the apex of the wing. Cilia silvery white, tipped with dark fuscous. Hind wings dark brown, cilia the same." - Clemens, 1863. |
