Larva and Host Plants: Erigeron (fleabane); originally described as a miner of Plantago virginica, an error subsequently corrected in Chambers (1877). Similar Species: Parectopa pennsylvaniella has a head which varies from white to brown, not brown with distinct white lines above eyes as in plantaginisella. Pinned specimens of related species. Synonymy: plantaginisella (Chambers, 1872) (Gracillaria) - MONA 1983: 0656   Type locality: Kentucky. erigeronella (Chambers, 1877) (Gracilaria) geiella (Chambers, 1874) (Gracilaria)
