Distribution: Type locality: Big Bend, TX. Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: • Speranza saphenata Ferguson, 2008 Taxonomic Notes: Macaria saphenata (Ferguson, 2008) n. sp., MONA Fascicle 17.2, p. 157. This species was described in the genus Speranza which is treated as a synonym of Macaria in Sihvonen & Skou (2015) following Scoble & Krüger (2002).
