Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: umbriferata Hulst 1887 (Semiothisa) - MONA 1983: 6293 umbrifasciata Hulst 1896 (Diastictis) Taxonomic Notes: Macaria umbriferata (Hulst, 1887), formerly placed in the genus Itame in Hodges et al. (1983) (Checklist) and in the genus Speranza in Ferguson (2008), is returned to genus Macaria in Sihvonen & Skou (2015) following Scoble & Krüger (2002).
