Distribution: Caution: A single range map dot for a Canadian province may represent records without specific location data. Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species. Synonymy: • Halia quadrilinearia Packard, 1873 • Tephrina disparata Warren, 1904 • Semiothisa inquinaria Hulst, 1887 • Selidosema pallescens Grossbeck, 1907 Taxonomic Notes: Macaria quadrilinearia (Packard, 1873), formerly placed in the genus Itame in the 1983 Hodges Checklist and in the genus Speranza in Ferguson (2008), is returned to genus Macaria in Sihvonen & Skou (2015) following Scoble & Krüger (2002). This species includes as a synonym 6307 Speranza pallescens (Grossbeck, 1907) in Ferguson (2008).
