Distribution: Caution: A single range map dot for a Canadian province may represent records without specific location data. Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species. Synonymy: • Halia quadrilinearia Packard, 1873 • Tephrina disparata Warren, 1904 • Semiothisa inquinaria Hulst, 1887 • Selidosema pallescens Grossbeck, 1907 Taxonomic Notes: Macaria quadrilinearia (Packard, 1873), formerly placed in the genus Itame in Hodges et al. (1983) (Checklist) and in the genus Speranza in Ferguson (2008), is returned to genus Macaria in Sihvonen & Skou (2015) following Scoble & Krüger (2002). This species includes as a synonym 6307 Speranza pallescens (Grossbeck, 1907) in Ferguson (2008).
