Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: amboflava (Ferguson, 1953) (Itame) - MONA 1983: 6284 Taxonomic Notes: Speranza amboflava (Ferguson, 1953), inferred revived combination, is a member of the brunneata group (Ferguson) which includes Speranza brunneata (Thunberg, 1784), rev. comb. (Õunap et al. 2024). The genus Speranza, rev. stat. (Õunap et al. 2024), was previously listed as a synonym of Macaria in Schmidt & McGuinness (in Pohl & Nanz (eds.) 2023) following the treatment in Sihvonen & Skou (2015).
