Synonymy: ribearia Fitch 1848 (Abraxas) - MONA 1983: 6274 aniusaria Walker 1863 (Ellopia) annisaria Walker 1860 (Endropia) fascioferaria Hulst 1887 (Thamnonoma) sigmaria Guenée [1858] (Aspilates) Taxonomic Notes: Macaria ribearia (Fitch, 1848), formerly placed in the genus Itame in Hodges et al. (1983) (Checklist) and in the genus Speranza in Ferguson (2008), is returned to genus Macaria in Sihvonen & Skou (2015) following Scoble & Krüger (2002).
