Distribution: Type locality (stramineus): Siskiyou Mountains, OR. Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: • Lioptilus stramineus Walsingham, 1880 Taxonomic Notes: Hellinsia stramineus (Walsingham, 1880), rev. stat. (Matthews in Pohl & Nanz (eds.) 2023), was treated as a synonym of Hellinsia pectodactylus (Staudinger, 1859) in Gielis (2003).
