Similar Species:
  • 6121.1 - Stenoptilodes taprobanes and 6122 - S. brevipennis are very similar species that cannot realiably be identified by photographs. They require dissection and examination of genitalia (or DNA analysis) in order to be positively identified.

References
  • Barcode of Life Data System (BOLD) - Caution: Some specimens shown may not be sequenced. DNA barcode provides evidence of relatedness not proof of identification.
