Synonymy: • Trichoptilus potentellus Lange, 1940 Taxonomic Notes: Trichoptilus potentellus Lange, 1939, treated as a synonym of 6101 Trichoptilus pygmaeus Walsingham, 1880 in Gielis (2003), is listed as a full species based on larval and pupal characteristics, (unpublished MS) in Matthews (2016), www.plumemoth.com, accessed May, 2017.
