Host familiy: Asteraceae Malvaceae Onagraceae Pinaceae Vitaceae Detritophagous.  Host genera: Abies Chrysothamnus Gossypium Gutierrezia Haplopappus[unresolved] Oenothera[=Gaura] Senecio Vitis Detritophagous.  Notes: cones of Shasta red fir (Keen 1958); larva reared on galls caused by cynipid wasps, root crowns, leaves & flowers (Powell & Opler 2009); Detritiphagus (Powell 2004); dried fruits (Zhang 1994).  (Shropshire & Douglas 2025)
