Distribution: USA: Florida. Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: bonhoti (Hampson, 1901) (Encystia)   Type locality: Nassau, Bahamas. Taxonomic Notes: Ancylosis bonhoti (Hampson, 1901) is now recognized within the North American fauna north of Mexico (Florida), Insecta Mundi 361: 6.
