      Type locality: Argentina.
  • signifera Blanchard, 1976 (Macrorrhinia)
      Type locality: Town Bluff, Tyler Co., TX.
  • Taxonomic Notes: Macrorrhinia endonephele (Hampson, 1918) replaces M. signifera Blanchard, 1976, n. syn., in Neunzig (2003) and includes as a synonym [5914.5] Arcola malloi (Pastrana, 1961) in Hayden & Landry (2020), Insecta Mundi, 0768: 1-25. Introduced as a biological control agent in US to control alligatorweed, Alternanthera philoxeroides.
