Taxonomic Notes: Megasis iota (Heinrich, 1956) was formerly listed listed in the genus Sarata, a name synonymized with Megasis in Leraut (2021). This treatment was overlooked by Scholtens & Hayden (in Pohl & Nanz (eds.) 2023). Excluded from Neunzig (2003), this name is treated as "valid unassociated female" in Hodges et al.
