Distribution: Central America and Florida north to South Carolina. Description/ Field Marks: Wing length of 5-7mm and forewing am. band with a well developed ridge of pale scales. The combination of size and the ridge of pale scales should eliminate similar species, Neunzig, 1986. Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: ochrodesma (Zeller, 1881) (Myelois) - MONA 1983: 5704 crassisquamella (Hampson, 1901) (Acrobasis)
