Similar Species: Identifications of Pococera based on DNA should be considered tentative pending revision of this genus. DNA barcode currently does not appear to be able to separate P. asperatella from similar species. P. asperatella may be a complex containing undescribed species. Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: asperatella (Clemens, 1860) (Lanthaphe) - MONA 1983: 5606
