Distribution: USA: Dry Tortugas, FL. Type locality (insularella): Puerto Rico. Type locality (paurolepidalis): Bahamas, Abaco. Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species. Synonymy: • Tetralopha insularella Ragonot, [1889]• Eutrichocera paurolepidalis Hampson, 1904 Taxonomic Notes: Phidotricha insularella Ragonot, [1888] is recognized within the North American fauna by Scholtens & Hayden (in Pohl & Nanz (eds.) 2023).; FSCA specimens from Dry Tortugas, FL compared to USNM material by James Hayden.
