Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: planalis (Grote, 1880) (Asopia) - MONA 1983: 5525   Type locality: Colorado. anniculalis (Hulst, 1886) (Asopia) emend. enniculalis (Hulst, 1886) (Asopia) orig. missp. occidentalis (Hulst, 1886) (Asopia) Taxonomic Notes: Hypsopygia planalis (Grote, 1880), listed in the genus Herculia in Hodges et al. (1983) (Checklist), is transferred to the genus Hypsopygia in Scholtens & Solis (2015) following Leraut (2006).
