Distribution: Type locality: Colorado. Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: • Asopia planalis Grote, 1880 • Asopia anniculalis Hulst, 1886 • Asopia enniculalis Hulst, 1886 • Asopia occidentalis Hulst, 1886 Taxonomic Notes: Hypsopygia planalis (Grote, 1880), listed in the genus Herculia in Hodges et al. (1983) (Checklist), is transferred to the genus Hypsopygia in Scholtens & Solis (2015) following Leraut (2006).
