Distribution: Kansas to Texas Similar Species: 5326 Surattha santella Kearfott, 1908 is found in Arizona. Males have simple antennae, not bipectinated. Two populations in Texas separated by DNA barcode appear to support the possibility of an undescribed species. Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: indentella (Kearfott, 1908) (Surattha) N. COMB. - MONA 1983: 5327   Type locality: Amarillo, TX. Taxonomic Notes: Prionapteryx indentella (Kearfott, 1908), n. comb., was formerly in the genus Surattha (Hayden & Scholtens in Pohl & Nanz (eds.) 2023). Previously, this species was transferred to Prionapteryx by Bleszynski (1967) as a result of synonymy of the two genera. This synonymy was overturned by Bassi & Mey in Mey (2011), Esperiana Memoir 6: 234, leaving the generic status of santella uncertain.
