      Type locality: Snyder Heights, Ithaca [Tompkins Co.], New York.
  • Taxonomic Notes: Donacaula dispersellus (Robinson, 1870), listed as a subspecies of 5316 Donacaula melinellus (Clemens, 1860) in Hodges et al. (1983) (Checklist), is raised to full species status in Martinez (2010) (dissertation).
