Similar Species: 5182 Blepharomastix ranalis is slightly smaller; has short labial palpi, not long and beak-like as in pseudoranalisi; wings of AZ form of ranalis darker. Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: pseudoranalis (Barnes & McDunnough, 1914) (Pyrausta) - MONA 1983: 5183; TL: "Mts., Ariz.; Palmerlee, Ariz.; Jemez Spgs., N. M." .
