Distribution: US southwest but apparently irruptive northeast to Ontario in 2020. DNA barcode for specimens from TX match those from Europe.Presumed to be introduced, Powell & Opler (2009). Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: catalaunalis (Duponchel, [1833]) (Botys) - MONA 1983: 5181   Type locality: Spain, Barcelona. sionensis Caradja, 1929 (Antigastra) venosalis (Walker, [1866]) (Botys)
