Pyrausta subsequalis (Guenée, 1854) includes as a subspecies 5060.2 Pyrausta plagalis and includes as a synonym 5076.1 Pyrausta cespitalis of authors; (not Denis & Schiffermüller, 1775). Pyrausta insequalis (Guenée, 1854) is listed as a senior synonym by Munroe (1995). Brian Scholtens (pers. comm., 1/12/17) advises that subsequalis has priority. |
