Similar Species:
  • Pyrausta porphyralis (Denis & Schiffermüller, 1775) (extralimital?)
  • Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.)
Synonymy: Pyrausta tuolumnalis Barnes & McDunnough, 1918
Taxonomic Notes: Pyrausta tuolumnalis Barnes & McDunnough, 1918: the range of this species requires further study. Specimens from western Canada and Alaska identified as this species may refer to Pyrausta porphyralis (Denis & Schiffermüller, 1775). See BOLD:AAE8423, the BIN group for porphyralis which includes several specimens from northwestern North America.
