Distribution: Recently introduced into North America (first specimen reported from 2002) and now known from Illinois, Indiana, Michigan and Wisconsin. Seasonality and Size: 13 June - 12 September (based on small sampling). Larva and Host Plants: Daucus carota. Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: palealis ([Denis & Schiffermüller], 1775) (Pyralis) - MONA 1983: [NEW in Pohl & Nanz (eds.) (2023)]  algiralis (Allard, 1867) (Spilodes)  flaveolata (Hufnagel, 1767) (Phalaena)  selenalis (Hübner, [1796]) (Pyralis)  stigmatalis (Villers, 1789) (Phalaena)
