Synonymy: aurea (Braun, 1915) (Corythophora) - MONA 1983: 0476 Taxonomic Notes: Muhabbetia aurea (Braun, 1915) was formerly in the genus Corythophora Braun, 1915, a junior homonym of Corythophora Loew, 1862 and Corythophora Stål, 1869; Muhabbetia was proposed as a replacement name by Koçak (2005).
