Taxonomic Notes: Monoleuca semifascia (Walker, 1855) includes as synonyms Monoleuca sulfurea Grote, 1880 (formerly a subspecies of semifascia), Monoleuca erectifascia Dyar, 1925, Monoleuca angustilinea Dyar, 1927, and Monoleuca subdentosa Dyar, 1891 (Epstein & Fiesler in Pohl & Nanz (eds.) 2023).
