Distribution: Type locality: "Santa Cruz Big Trees, Calif." Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Taxonomic Notes: Lyonetia candida Braun, 1916 was treated as a synonym of L. ledi in Kuroko (1964:23) without explanation. The synonymy was not recognized in Hodges et al. (1983) (Checklist). Specimens from California are well separated by DNA barcode from those in Europe and northern Yukon. Pending further investigation, candida will continue to be listed following Davis (1983).
