Synonymy: Epiperola perornata Dyar, 1905
Taxonomic Notes: Paleophobetron perornata (Dyar, 1905), originally in the genus Epiperola, was transferred to Paleophobetron by Forbes (1942), Bull. Mus. Comp. Zool. 90:388, when he raised the genus from synonymy of Epiperola. The revision was overlooked in Hodges et al. (1983) (Checklist) and the species was listed in Epiperola. Becker & Epstein (1995) revised the status, placing it back in Paleophobetron, Atlas of Neotrop. Lepid. Chklst: Part 2.
