Description/ Field Marks: "The entire insect is greenish black; immaculate." - Clemens, (1860). Forewing veins R2 and R3 are separate and not stalked - Barnes & McDunnough (1910). Similar Species: Triprocris lustrans Beutenmüller, 1894 is larger, WS: 31mm. Triprocris cyanea Barnes & McDunnough, 1910 has forewing veins R2 and R3 stalked and not separate - Barnes & McDunnough (1910). Pinned specimens of related species.
