Distribution: Type locality (chinatiensis): Presidio Co., TX. Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: • Melitaea chinatiensis Tinkham, 1944 Taxonomic Notes: Chlosyne chinatiensis (Tinkham, 1944), formerly a subspecies of 4508 Chlosyne theona (Ménétriés, 1855), is raised to full species status in Zhang et al. (2020).
