Similar Species:

Synonymy:
  • n. sp.; [no author], [no date]
  • Taxonomic Notes: [Tineidae – unplaced to genus] n. sp.: this distinctive species, widespread in eastern US and Canada, has been known as an undescribed species since at least 1990 according to Don Davis (pers. comm., 2010). Placement in the family Tineidae is tentative and is based on examination of genitalia by Terry Harrison. DNA barcode places it near no described species.
