Taxonomic Notes: Heraclides andraemon Hübner, [1823] was formerly placed in the genus Papilio. The name Heraclides was treated as a valid genus in Miller & Brown (1981) and as a synonym of Papilio in Hodges et al. (1983) (Checklist). Subsequent authors, i. e. Tyler et al. (1994), Lamas (2004) and Shiraiwa & Grishin (2014), have retained Heraclides as valid.
