      Type locality: Holotype: Arizona, Cochise Co., Chiricahua Mountains, Portal.
  • albescens of authors; (not Plötz, 1884) (Pyrgus) misappl.
  • Taxonomic Notes: Burnsius albezens Grishin, 2022 replaces Burnsius albescens (Plötz, 1884) north of Mexico. "True" albescens is now treated as a subspecies of Burnsius communis (Grote, 1872) in Grishin (2022).
