Distribution: Type locality (bana): Chicago, IL. Type locality (rhodites): unknown. Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: • Phalonia bana Kearfott, 1907 • Phalonia rhodites Meyrick, 1912 Taxonomic Notes: Thyraylia bana (Kearfott, 1907) was number 3775 in Hodges et al. (1983) (Checklist).3843 (1983 list) Phalonidia plummeriana (Busck, 1907) is a synonym of 3807 Phalonidia lepidana.
