Distribution: Type locality: Millinocket, ME. Similar Species: Rolandylis maiana (Kearfott, 1907) is best separated by genitalia. Rolandylis fusca Pogue, 2001 forewing ground color is fuscous, not cream as in virilia. Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: • Rolandylis virilia Pogue, 2001 Taxonomic Notes: Rolandylis virilia Pogue, 2001 n. sp., Proc. Ent. Soc. Wash. 103: 792. The number 3838 was applied to 3837 Rolandylis maiana and the number 3757 was applied to 3757.2 Aethes louisiana in Hodges et al. (1983) (Checklist).
