Distribution: USA: AZ, CA, OR; Colombia. Larva and Host Plants: USA: Garrya elliptica, G. fremontii, Arctostaphylos sp.; Columbia: Gomphrena globosa. Similar Species: Henricus cognata (Walsingham, 1914) Henricus umbrabasana (Kearfott, 1908) Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: aenigmana Brown, 2024 (Platphalonidia) - MONA 1983: 3760   Type locality: Oregon: Lane Co.: 3 mi SW Dunes City, 24 Jun 1975, larvae on Garrya elliptica. Taxonomic Notes: Platphalonidia aenigmana Brown, 2024, n. sp., with generic assignment "somewhat provisional", is possibly of South American origin.
