Synonymy: Cochylis latipunctana Walsingham, 1879
Taxonomic Notes: Saphenista latipunctana (Walsingham, 1879), n. comb., was previously listed in the genus Phalonidia, Brown (2019), Insecta Mundi, 0738: 4.
This species was number 3779 in Hodges et al. (1983) (Checklist).
3806 (1983 list) Cochylis albidana (Walker, 1866) is a synonym of 3778 Cochylis nana.
