Distribution: USA: ME, CO, WA; Canada: NL, NS, QC, BC. Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: dubitana (Hübner, 1799) (Tortrix)   Type locality: Europe. ambiguana (Frölich, 1828) (Tortrix) baseirufana (Bruand, 1850) (Lobesia) islandicana (Bjornsson, 1968) (Cochylis) Taxonomic Notes: Neocochylis dubitana (Hübner, 1799) is transferred from the genus Cochylis to Neocochylis, formerly a synonym of Cochylis, rev. stat., in Brown et al. (2020), Syst. Entomol., 45: 170.
