Description/ Field Marks: See Sabourin et al. (2002), Jour. Lepid. Soc., 56(4): 221; Fig. 1a-d. Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: promptana (Robinson, 1869) (Conchylis) - MONA 1983: 3844   Type locality: Pennsylvania and Texas. Taxonomic Notes: Aethes promptana: This species was number 3844 in Hodges et al. (1983) (Checklist).
