Synonymy: angustana (Clemens, 1860) (Lozopera)   Type locality: Pennsylvania. augustana (Powell, 1983) (Conchylis) missp. dorsimaculana (Robinson, 1869) (Conchylis) Taxonomic Notes: Aethes angustana (Clemens, 1860), misspelled as augustana in Hodges et al. (1983), includes as a synonym dorsimaculana Robinson, 1869, an unjustified replacement name, in the same work. This species was number 3808 in Hodges.
