Taxonomic Notes: Choristoneura freemani Razowski, 2008 replaces 3640 Choristoneura occidentalis Freeman, 1967, a junior homonym of C. occidentalis Walsinham, 1891, Polskie Pismo Entomologiczne. 77: 245-254. This species includes as a subspecies 3641 Choristoneura biennis Freeman, 1967, Systematic Entomology. 42: 317-328.
