Type locality: USA, Pennsylvania.

Taxonomic Notes: Acleris placidana (Robinson, 1869), formerly treated as a subspecies of [3540] Acleris logiana (Clerck, 1759), extralimital (Palearctic), but previously treated by some authors as a full species, is formally raised to full species in Gilligan et al. (2020), Insects, 11(9), 594: 1-59.
