Similar Species:
  • The Pammene obscurana group contains P. obscurana, perstructana and clanculana. Dissection is required, see Miller (1990:288). Obscurana and clanculana are currently listed as Palearctic but based on BOLD BIN groups it would appear all three may be found in southern QC and ON. MPG treats all specimens in obscurana group found in North America as perstructana pending further study.

Taxonomic Notes: Pammene perstructana (Walker, 1863) includes as a synonym 3420 Pammene signifera (Heinrich, 1926), Great Lakes Entomologist, 18(4): 145-147.
