Taxonomic Notes: Ancylis diminuatana Kearfott, 1905, formerly listed as synonym of the extralimital species Ancylis diminutana (Haworth, 1811) in Heinrich (1923), erroneously listed in Hodges et al. (1983) as a misspelling of Ancylis diminutana, and listed as a synonym of the extralimital species Ancylis geminana (Donovan, 1806) in Brown (2005), is raised back to full species status, Zootaxa.4178 (3): 366.
