Similar Species: 3297 Epinotia hopkinsana has paler green color of the thorax and forewings, paler fringes, paler hind wing, pretornal spot on the forewing hind margin triangular, not subquadrate.
Taxonomic Notes: Epinotia cupressi Heinrich, 1923, originally described as a variety of 3297 Epinotia hopkinsana (Kearfott, 1907), is raised to full species status, Proc. Entom. Soc. Wash., 120(4): 677.
