Description/
Field Marks:
DNA barcode places specimens confirmed by genitalia as oreios (det. J. Brown) in BOLD:AAM5820, a BIN group which also includes a specimen from Florida which apparently refers to an undescribed species similar to P. hodsoni Miller. Though in the same BIN, the FL specimen is well separated from oreios and nearly as close to hodsoni.
Similar Species:
  • Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.)
Synonymy:
  • oreios Miller, 1986 (Pseudexentera) - MONA 1983: [NEW in Pohl & Nanz (eds.) (2023)]; Holotype: Rustler Park, AZ.
  • Taxonomic Notes: Pseudexentera oreios Miller, 1986 n. sp., J. Lepid. Soc. 40: 226.
